Mom Guilt

Not a lot new to report.  This big boy — more than 9 lbs already — has been working on oral feeds, a skill he obviously needs to master before coming home. I had some serious mom guilt — I mean I cried like a baby — when they decided to try Enfamil AR formula with added rice to slow down the flow from the nipple.  Hopefully, it will help him eat more consistently and we can go home with the goal of eventually getting him back to breast.

Speaking of mom guilt… The new semester started this week. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous about going back to work with Garrin still in the hospital, maybe even dreading it a little, if I am being completely honest, but boy did it feel good to get back in the classroom. I love my job and the people I work with.

“There is great value to the trials we have to endure as we learn to trust God during our times of greatest weakness.” ~Gerald Flurry, John’s Gospel: The Love of God
